Hello everyone!
I recently found a way to fix the whining sound/noise that the 1500 (and maybe others) are doing while the microphone is active.
First off. I do not know if the problem is in the microphone software, or inside the microphone itself.
With that said, heres how I fixed it.
I went to Controlpanel -> Sound -> Recording. Then I rightclicked the Corsair Vengeance 1500 microphone and chose "Properties". Then I clicked the "Advanced" tab.
In the advance tab I saw 4 different "Microphone quality" options.
Those were: Telephone quality, Tape recorder quality, CD quality and DVD quality. The microphone was automatically set for DVD quality and when I changed it to either Telephone or Taperecorder quality, the whining noise dissappeared.
But since both Telephone AND Tape recorder quality seems to work, I strongly recommend Tape recorder quality, since Telephone quality is bad.
I barely notice any difference at all between DVD quality and Tape recorder quality, even though DVD quality is at 48000 Hz and Tape recorder is at 16000 Hz.
I hope this fixed it for you, cause it did for me
