Got all the new parts for a build together, LINK
Assembled everything, can't get to POST..
I turn on the PSU, fans and h100i cooling unit turn on for ~a sec (little less), then turn off. Lights don't stay on, motherboard power LED stays on though. PSU gives me a red light.
So I start troubleshooting.
I've run through using the self-test feature of the PSU to try and figure out where this error is coming in at.. currently, if I have only the 4 and 8 pin mobo EATX power supplies plugged in along with the cooling unit and turn the PSU on it gives me green when I run self test, everything turns on, but once I plug in the 24pin along with all of those it does the aforementioned brief turn-on then goes red.
At this point, I have none of the peripherals connected to power, don't believe they're necessary for isolating this issue.
Is this actually a PSU issue? Motherboard? Not sure, since the change is when the 24pin is plugged in. Intuition tells me it's the PSU so I'm posting here.
