Optical sensors in mice for gaming are superior because they don't have mouse acceleration. However, Corsair is using laser sensors in their high end M65 and M95 mice. Lasers are better on multiple types of surfaces I think, but for gamers optical is better because they provide 1:1 movement. I find it to be very strange that Corsair uses inferior sensors in their more expensive higher end mice. The M65 and M95 look great and have great build quality, but I find myself forced to get a gaming mouse from another company who uses optical sensors in their high end mice.
