I have a Corsair H110 , four fan push/pull setup, mounted on the top of my chassis, with the air blowing out of the case. I am using 2 Noctua NF-A14 Industrial PPC-2000 PWM as Push fans and 2 Noctua NF-A14 PWM as Pull fans. This setup does not fit inside my chassis so I have mounted the two pull fans outside, on the top, of the case. I do not mind this though.
My questions:
1) Which SLIM fans would you suggest me to use as PULL so that I would be able to mount the H110 radiator inside the case? They have to be of equal or better quality than the NF-A14 PWM I am now using (as pull fans).
2) Recently I have remounted the H110 and I observed some de-coloration on its bottom. Forgive my language, I am not a native English speaker. I took a few pictures: picture1, picture2, picture3 . Please, look on the top-right. How does it look to you? Is everything OK?
I always use isopropyl alcohol and coffee filters to clean it from the thermal paste.
3) This question is very important to me! Do I necessarily have to use those adhesive strips on the backplate or not? Unfortunately, I have not used them - I do not even have them anymore... The pump and the backplate are seated properly, meaning that they to do not "play" - move, at all. I'm not sure IF my temps are OK though... Is it normal for this processor to rise above 80-85C when fully stressed, at stock settings = Optimal Defaults, with Prime95 v.28.5, Small FFTs? Room temperature during stress testing was 25.7C. Right now I cannot stress test but IF you request it I will try to do it!
