Please help, new h100i not even detected in USB

Hi guys, I'm really hoping there's a solution here. I just finished my first computer build. I installed windows 7 64 bit as a clean install. I did all Windows updates, all Intel driver installs, etc. I also installed all my motherboard driver installs and installed the Asus AI Suite to control my fans. Everything was going swimmingly.

The motherboard was receiving a signal from the h100i via the CPU fan header. It had a constant reading of about 2300, which I've heard is normal. The h100i fan speed was fairly low and quiet. The corsair logo was illuminated white.

Then I downloaded the CorsairLink software, and things went wrong. I installed version RC v2.7.5361. Something popped up and asked if I wanted to update firmware, I selected yes, and an error popped up (I think, it happened really quickly). When I rebooted, I saw a "no CPU fan error" for the first time in BIOS. Also, the corsair logo was illuminated red. I disabled the error and continued to boot.

Now, the fans are stuck on high, the LED logo is red, and it doesn't show up in CorsairLink. When I unplug and replug in the USB cable into either the motherboard or pump, nothing happens (no windows sound). This leads me to believe it is not being recognized at all.

Is there a solution for this? I'm thinking the firmware update messed something up. Is this unit bricked? Is there a way to force install a firmware version? Help! :(

edit: I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the corsair link multiple times, and also the ASUS software. Nothing makes a difference.
