General Question about the wires of a modular psu

Hello i purchased the Corsair CX750M 750W ATX 80+ and im just wondering the PCI/e wires that come with the power supply will i be okay to connect these to my 2GB Asus GTX 760 Graphics card? its just the pci/e wire that came with the card is to short and someone in my local repairs shop said not to use the pse pci/e wire so i thought i would come here to ask as i dont want to break anything as this is my first build :)
