Can not set up back up in Windows 7

So,i want to back up everything from my SSD(running the OS)to a new HDD i installed for storage. When i go to system back up (control panel>system and security>back up your computer),it tells me windows back up has not been set up,so i hit setup back up,when i try it tells me:------"the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no devices associated with it. (0x80070422)"..................I'll post a link to the pic :

I seen someone with the same problem on Toms forums and this was the reply:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This error usually occurs if one of the services required for windows backup to work is disabled or not started.

To check for the services, click on start, in the start search bar type services and then press enter.

Please check that the following services are enabled:

- "Remote Procedure Call" (RPCSS) should be enabled, Automatic.

- "COM+ Event System" (EventSystem) should be enabled, Manual.

- "System Event Notification Service" (SENS) should be enabled, Automatic.

- "Volume Shadow Copy" (VSS) should be enabled, Manual.

- "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider" (SWPRV) should be enabled, manual.

- "Block Level Backup Engine Service" should be enabled, manual

I did all this above and restarted and still no joy.

To add i also tried to back up to a flash drive and had the same message appear.

i was able to create a system image on the HDD,is this the same as a backup?

Either way after i did that it still would not let me set up the back up.

Anyone have any ideas??
