AX860 and SLI 980's

I currently have a corsair AX860W PSU - is this adequate to run 2 MSI 980's in SLI?

My other system info:

I7 4770k (not oc'd)

16gb ram

Asus Maximus VI mboard

Corsair h100i CPU cooler

Also running 2 hdd's and 1 ssd.

Sifflement alimentation AX 1200

Bonjour,

Merci d'avance.

K95 on a Mac - yes...sorta...

Just a tip. I got the K95 to work on my Mac, minus the G-Keys.

I used Parallels/Windows 8 to install the key colors into the 3 keyboard memories. I have one "general" and one for FCPX and one uniform color (aka "spare.")

I discovered two ways to get the keyboard recognized:

1) launch Parallels/Windows and "attach" the keyboard there via the menu. Then quit Windows and Parallels, and it's recognized.

2) better yet: hook the keyboard into a powered USB 2 hub. This seems to keep it recognized, even thru power off cycles.

Caveats:

a) there is NO guarantee this will work for you; I'm just relaying my own experience.

b) I suspect that the keyboard will not work with pre-boot commands, such as single-user mode or wiping the PRAM, so I'd keep another keyboard around for such needs.

c) the G-1 to G18 keys are pretty, but useless.

d) the caps lock light does not work in this configuration. (Actually, that surprised me>)

That said, the multimedia switches work, including volume and mute. The dimmer button works. I can switch between the three memorized layouts.

Given that there are 50-million mac users out there, and they spend more than PC users, I'm hoping (but not holding my breath) that Corsair will give us a little love, and create at least the basic software for the static lighting and the G-keys. (I can easily do without the lighting animation, thanks...)

HG10 A1 question/statement

I recently purchased a new 760T to house my 100i on my CPU and the HG10 with an H80i on my 290x thinking I could mount the fans and radiator from the H80i to one of the front fan slots. One of the product demo videos shows the HG10 mounted to the front of a 760T, but it was the H75. Unfortunately, the tubing from the H80i must be shorter than the H75 because there is no way for the H80i to reach the front with its tubing length. The average news is I was able to cram it all down at the bottom of the case and use the bottom fan bracket to get it in. It did not play well with my power supply cables, but it is there and my r290x idles at 29-30 degrees C and may get to 45 C under load with a +180 VDDC and 1170 GPU speed. Does anyone know if it is possible to stretch the H80i to get to the front fan mount or if indeed the tubing on the H75 is longer? I am really quite pleased with the H80i/HG10/760T combo, but figured it was worth a heads up to anyone else pondering the setup. Thanks.

Carbide Air 240 and Asus Strix

Hi,

I'm considering a Carbide air 240 for my next config. I want also to place an Asus 970 Strix in it. Considering it is a 280mm card it should fit in the case (290mm max). But I want also use a H100i watercooling...

Does the Strix still fit in the case with the addition of the radiator of the H100i?

Thanks for your help and best regards.
