AX860i Powers off with Motherboard BIOS Update

I have the AX861i power supply and an MSI x99S Xpower AC motherboard. I had an issue with a bad BIOS update (it has two BIOS available). The B BIOS is good, but the A has issues. There is a way to recover the A BIOS, however, when the BIOS tries to update, by design, it cycles power to the motherboard as part of the process. Unfortunately, when the power is cycled automatically during the update, the power supply actually shuts off, then restarts during this process. This breaks the BIOS update process. Is there a way to "force" this power supply on during this restart to have a successful update? I also have an intel i7-5930k processor. Thanks.
