My computer freezes.

My computer freezes from time to time. My Corsair Force GS 128 GB hard disk. Writing-reading lamp lit continuously for 30-40 seconds. In the meantime, do not do anything. Only able to move the mouse. My computer is a HP Pavilion notebook dv5196e model 8 years. 32-bit Windows 7 installed. I'm quite pleased with the performance of your hard disk. But it freezes very demoralizing. I was having to do. I installed the firmware 5.24. But freezing happening again.
