I've had my K70 RGB for about 2 months and a half now. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a small dent on the edge of the aluminum plate of the keyboard (close to the volume wheel). The dent was very small but still visible (it's pretty visible because the aluminum is painted in black so any chip in the aluminum reveals the natural silver color" and I said to myself "Oh well, I might not have noticed the dent when I unboxed it since it's relatively small".
I am probably one of the most careful and delicate person with electronics. I always take all necessary precautions and care. Sometimes, I carry my keyboard to work. When I do so, I slowly unplug my keyboard, delicately put it in a backpack, pick up my backpack, put it right next to me on the passenger seat of my car, drive at work, pick up my backpack, walk one block then proceed to carefully take it out of my backpack and plug it on my work pc. I do the same in the opposite order when I go back home.
Yesterday, while I was about to put it back in my backpack after my work day, I noticed a bigger dent on the bottom rear (corner) of the aluminum plate. The keyboard was never dropped, hit or whatever else that could damage it. The worst that could have happen is to have the fabric of my backpack rub on that corner. Nothing else beside my K70 RGB was in my backpack.
Now, fortunately, it happened on the bottom of the keyboard so it's only visible if I turn it around and I used a black Sharpie pen to cover the silver color so it doesn't attract my sight when I look at my board.
I honestly don't see how such delicate manipulation could damage an aluminum plate. Just a warning to be careful about that "aircraft-grade aluminum", it's pretty fragile.
