On the fly macro recordings?

I just got my k70 rgb today and it's been a wonderful experience. I was wondering if it's possible to start/end macro recording while in game? If not would it be possible to utilize the media keys for this in a future software update?



I apologize if this a ridiculous question, I'm very new to the world of mechanical/gaming keyboards
