k95 RGB can't get key effects to work

Regardless of creating my own key press effect, or downloading a premade profile, absolutely zero key press effects will work for me,



current situation, i'm making a group of keys and then right clicking, adding a lighting assignment, going to ripple, and i just want it to ripple over the keys i've selected when pressing any of the keys in that group. i can click play foreground, and the ripple will happen as i've set it up, but i cannot press any of the keys and get it to work this way or with any premade lighting profile either....what is going on?
