I have bought a HX 650 PSU in 2010 from a Retailer here in Romania (Europe), in the last couple of months it started behaving wierd, getting very hot after hours of 3D rendering, and the 12V line when the system is in full load is going down past 11.45V at the poin the system locks-up, this problem did not happen in the past 4 years, and I was very happy with the product
The problem started when I went to the retailer and they told me that the PSU has only 3 years warranty, is this possible? I bought this PSU for the 7 year warranty, and have numerous other corsair products that clearly have 5-6 or 7 years of warranty.
I told them I will contacts Corsair dirrectly to get an answer then contact them back.
They will onour the warranty claim if I can get a direct confirmation that indeed it has a 7 year warranty, cause they claim that it only has 3 years.
How can I solve this problem because the cost of sending the PSU to Corsair dirrectly is over 30Euros (over 40 dollars)?
