Wie Standard-Profil bei K50 einstellen?

Hi,

bisher habe ich lediglich den Hardware-Modus genutzt. Soweit funktionert alles ganz gut.

Da es viele Games zurzeit sind, möchte ich gerne wie bei meine Logitech den Software-Modus nutzen.

Habe insgesamt 3 Profile. Eins davon ist für Office. Wenn ich nun ein Spiel starte, schaltet die Corsair-Software richtig um. D. h. abhängig vom Spiel, öffnet sich das richtige Profil.

Problem ist nur, wenn ich das Spiel schließe, bleibt dieser Profil offen. Ich muss jedesmal in der Software reingehen, um manuell den "Office"-Profil zu aktivieren. Es besteht leider nicht die Möglichkeit, dort ein Standard-Profil einzustellen.

Das halte ich nicht besonders für userfreundlich. Man bietet diese Komfort-Option an, um den User Arbeit zu nehmen (automatische Profil-Umschaltung) und nach dem Spielen muss er jedesmal nochmal die Software öffnen, um erneut in den Office-Modus (oder Standard-Modus) zu kommen. Wo soll da der Sinn liegen?

Logitech bietet diese Option und alles läuft einwandfrei und komfortabel.

Habe schon versucht mit dem Office-Profil als Anwendung "explorer.exe". Geht auch nicht. Es bleibt immer der Profil des zuletzt gespielten Spiels offen.

Hat da einer das schon mal festgestellt und eine Lösung dafür? Für mich sieht es danach aus, dass die Entwickler der Software hier nicht zu Ende gedacht haben...

Wäre für Hilfe sehr dankbar. Sonst ist das eine klasse Tastatur, bin zufrieden damit :biggrin:

750D Bottom-Front Filter?

I know this case has 2 filters, one located behind the removable front panel and then the one located at the bottom-rear of the case where the PSU is located...but nothing up front for the 2 120mm fan locations? Seems kindve odd. Those two front fans would pull in more air than a single fan that the PSU uses which would make sense to filter that air.

Corsair Vengeance 2000's Falling Apart :(

Hey everyone

I've had a set of Corsair Vengeance 2000's for over two years now. I've been very careful with them, but even so, they've cracked, a bit of them has broken off around the screw hole on the left side, and the right side has a crack as well. They still work ok, but it seems to be, especially after reading other posts here, that the build quality of this headset isn't very good at all :( What's even worse is that I am just out of the warranty period so I can't get them replaced. I'm most concerned that they're going to fall apart more than they are. Are they likely to break further? Am I best off just buying a new headset? I've really enjoyed using the 2000's and I'm pretty disappointed that a headset costing me over £100 can break so easily.

K70 RGB Summit1G (Holiday Giveaway Profile)

Back in December I was asked to create four profiles for Corsairs Holiday Giveaway Competition. This is one for the popular streamer/counter-strike player Summit1G. Based on a few ideas he'd pitched to Corsair, this is what I came up with.

Includes T and CT modes for CS:GO as well as script macros on the numpad. (Requires the Dev Console to be enabled).

250D + H100i Fandirections

Hi,

completely new to the forum and my last built is years ago so apologies for the noob question.

I'm just waiting for my parts to arrive and I was wondering what Corsair recommends when it comes to fan direction in the 250D.

Should the 2 fans on the radiator of the H100i:

push air in / pull air in?

push air out / pull air out?

H2100 hear myself and loud buzzing noise

I've had problems with this headset ever since i got it. I can both hear myself loudly and hear a loud buzzing noise. Both when charging and not charging the headset.

Is there ANY way to mute the mic so i wont constantly hear everything around me. The mic picks up every sound in the house + neighbors. Even my breathing is very annoying to listen to. And the buzzing noise. It's unbearable.

My charging cable broke so i got sent a new headset, both have had the same problems. So i doubt it's something wrong with the actual headset.

Things I've tried:

Disabled and enabled "listen to this device"

Disabled and enabled Microphone check in the software (version 2.0.35)

Disabled the mic in "recording devices" and the buzzing disappeared

If there's any logic here... The "Microphone check" option is there for a reason right? To check the mic? the volume, how it sounds etc... so if there's any reason and logic here the mic should be ALWAYS on. Right? I've heard people say "there's nothing you can do". But to me that makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Just because of the feature you have in the software. Am i wrong to think that?

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

If any other information is needed I will do my best to provide it.

didnt know how to put it on the title but basically the h100i is at 34c but the 8350 is at 40c(these are idle temps). even though it is at 4.5ghz im not sure if im doing something wrong.

K70 RGB Please Help. Just got the keyboard.

Hi, I just picked up the keyboard and ran into a problem. I downloaded a profile from the forums and everything looked like it was going well, until i clicked out of the "CUE" software window. When i did it reset back to the Red and blue waves across the keyboard, And the profile i downloaded only works when i have the "CUE" software clicked on, the profile wont work when i click outside the window, PLEASE HELP.

and I have a Corsair HX850W p/s.

The video card has (8pin + 8pin + 6pin) power connections, the card can use up to 450W of power and up to 600A of current.

My question is can this p/s handle this video card plus my i7-3770k and four hdd's and two ssd's, and a dvd and a Sound Blaster Z?

I am using the Lian-Li A77 case with six fans and two fans on the cpu cooler.

Can't for the life of me get CMD16GX3M4A2666C12 to work with Rampage IV Extreme

I'm having huge problems with getting CMD16GX3M4A2666C12 to work with my Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard.

Running the X.M.P profile gives me AF debug error and no boot. I have tried to run 2600MHz @ 12-13-13-35-2T @ 1.65 without the default X.M.P BCLK overlock of 125MHz but it won't boot at all.

I've also tried to lower myself to 2400MHz and trying to run 2133MHz @ 9-11-10-27-2T @ 1.65 but nothing. On 2133MHz it will POST but is not able to boot neither memtest86+ nor Windows without rebooting on itself.

Currently I'm running as low as 1600MHz @ 7-8-7-24-1T but this gives me error in memtest86+ on test 6, but not on all passes. But also Intel Burn Test tells me my system is not stable.

I did previously have a set of CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 and they managed to run the X.M.P profile with 2133MHz @ 9-11-10-27-2T @ 1.5 without any issues?

Any recommendations of how I'm supposed to get these to work? Settling for a lousy 1600MHz @ CL9 seems stupid considering the price of this kit...

K70 RGB How do i upload profiles?

Hey! I got some awesome profiles that I want to share with the community. The problem is that I don't know how to upload them for the community to download. When i press export on the CUE, it exports all the profiles into one .prf file. So the question is: how do I export only one profile?

H100i LED Flashing on and off

Hi I'm have a problem with my corsair H100i, The logo is flashing on and off in 3 and 7 second intervals, the fans are doing the same thing. The pump continues to run at the same rpm all the time. I've also plugged the pump in another computer with the same results. I have also plugged the fans into the motherboard headers and they still work fine, so we can rule out the fans being the problem. Any help would be very much appreciated.

K70 RGB new K70 RGB keyboard having a hard time displaying purple

my new k70 RGB keyboard displays any shade of purple that I throw at it as either a blue, or a very white faded blue. i have a RGB mouse that displays purple just fine, so I know its not my eyes. Is this an known issue or is there something I'm doing wrong?

K70/K95 RGB DE MX Blue?

K70 LED backlight of some keys dim

I got the K70 for almost a year now, I haven't being using the backlight until recently (unfortunately recently had to work late hence turned on the backlight)

anyways... noticed that some of the key's backlight are very dim. dimmer than the backlight on the dimmest level (and they dont seem increase in brightness when I increase the backlight brightness)

I took of the cap of the keys, and it seems to be the LED that are dim...

so what is werid is the keys that are having the issues are scattered all across..

left Ctrl, E, T, PrtScn, Home, Page Down

Any idea why that is? I tried unplugging etc... didn't seem to help... is there a hard reset of something ?

H100i GTX Cooler Temp is zero

I just built a new system, and against my better judgement bought the H100i GTX CPU cooler. I have a commander and cooling node on another computer which I have really given up a couple of years ago because of the state of Corsair Link.

I naively hoped that things would have improved since the last time I visited these forums, but it seems they haven't.

I started by installing the latest version, v3.1.5525. After rebooting and looking through all the irrelevant sensors and devices, I found the H100i GTX stuff. The "Cooler Temp" reports 0 degrees celcius. I guess that that's supposed to be water temperature..? In any case, I doubt it's really 0 degrees as that's way below room temperature. If I watch it for a long time, it will sometimes show a different reading for a very short time, which seems reasonable (e.g. 28 C).

Being used to the way Corsair Link used to work, I started downgrading hoping to find a version that would do what I need. So, I uninstalled and installed v2.7.5361. To my surprise, this wouldn't recognize the H100i GTX at all. So, I had to uninstall this, and reinstall the latest. I didn't try any earlier versions, because I suppose the reason is that the H100i GTX is to "new" for previous versions. That means that I'm stuck with v3.1.5525, which doesn't work.

This again means that I have no sensible regulation of my cooling. The way I is now, I have to switch the fans to "fixed 100%" and the pump to "performance" when I'm doing some heavy stuff, and then switch them back to "quiet" when I'm done. This forfeits the whole purpose of having a sensor driven automatic system.

Is there any way to get the water temp available as a custom curve source, as this is the only way I can see that this setup makes any sense?

I noticed that CL also has a problem reading my CPU temp - a 5820K. It reports 0 degrees as well, and annoyingly flashes red. While it doesn't really matter to me if the CPU temp isn't there, it seems that it might "disturb" the reading of the water temp. If I rightclick the 5820K temp and select "remove device", the "H100i GTX Cooler Temp" will most of the time show a reasonable value for a couple of seconds. But, then Corsair Link autodetects the 5820K temp sensor and adds it again, making me wonder why I have to option to remove it at all. Anyway, as soon as the CPU Temp is back, they both show 0 degrees and flash red.

I guess it could be a problem with the temp sensor in my brand new H100i GTX, but from previous experiences with Corsair Link I'm 99,999% sure it's a software bug. How do I get this working?

The two devices I have under "devices" that's relevant to the H100i GTX is:

Corsair Hydro Series 7289 USB Device - version 3.3

H100iGTX Cooler - version 2.3.0.0

Trying to update firmware simply reports that "Corsair Link did not detect any devices that need to be updated." That either means that the H100i GTX is at the latest firmware, or another software bug - I simply don't know, but at least it's not an option for me to update firmware to get around the bug.

h110 pump and two pin header

Is it possible to connect the h110 pump 3 pin to a two pin header? The third pin controls the fan speed right? So a two pin should run at full speed am I right about this?

This is a repost from a post I put up earlier, I just decided maybe itd be better as a thread. If I find the time after school is out I might try my hand but for anyone else who might be interested in such a concept and might have a better idea of how to accomplish the timing on this sort of project:

sakura blossoms falling perpetually. It would be pink blossoms throughout the keyboard falling with a black or even really light white with maybe an effect upon typing, was thinking single key effect where it just stays lit pink for a moment before fading back away. Just an idea I had. I was thinking of trying my hand at it but the timing on this would be somewhat tricky for someone like me.

Corsair H2100

I've been using my corsair headset now for around 2 months and all of a sudden it just stopped working. It charges and all but I cant seem to get the headset starting. The charging light lights up and blinks as normal. But when I press the power button it wont start. Not even a blue light comes up.

PLEASE HELP, I wanna start playing again!

H 2100 blue LED issue

So, i got my 2100 today to complete my corsair set of peripherals. I'm pleased with how it performs audio wise but i noticed that the blue led , just on the actual headset flashes at a cycle of 4 seconds or so. I have done the procedure before first use and all and this is the only thing i get as weird. I was wondering if this indicates i'm doing / did something wrong, or if i'm missing anything on quality or malfunction or something. I have already switched usb ports around and the issue seems to persist.

I would so much like to get SP140 / AF140 PWM without LED. Since I allready have 280 / 140 radiators and I just prefer lower spinning 140mm over faster spinning 120mm.

Are there any news/plans on that stuff? The only possible solution now is to go for AF140 without PWM and LED SP140 without PWM.

K70 RGB (Use on Mac, setup profile on PC)

I am looking at buying a K70 RGB, but will primarily be using it on a Mac. I do have a PC, so I could create profiles on the PC.

Are profiles saved onto the K70, or does it require the software to load/use a profile? I understand there would be some things that wouldn't be supported, but mainly wanting to see if I could change the default color configuration.

K95 RGB The Caps Lock light problem.

There are three lights on the right up corner of the keyboard. But it looks strange. When I am using Caps Lock, the light "1" is off, the logic is opposite to normal keyboard. And on the normal keyboard, I think the light "A" is used to indicate the Caps Lock. Can I set it by myself? If I could, how can I do it? Thank you.

H100i pulse red from cold boot with buzzing.

My h100i has the following symptoms from a cold startup:

When power button is pressed pump immediately begins buzzing and led pulses red on/off. when windows loads pump noise dissapears and led cycles through all colors.

If I soft restart windows led returns to my preset blue.

Locating a H80i GT Thumbscrew

One of the thumbscrews for my cooler was a lemon and only had a few mm of internal thread so wouldn't lock down that corner of the cpu. I have a brass motherboard standoff doing the job atm which as you can imagine looks really terrible lol.

Anyhow support couldn't help me out with a replacement and said id have to replacement the whole unit which tbh is a pain in the bum. Any one have any other idea how i could get a replacement thumbscrew?

K65 RGB brightness key always white?

I have found that no matter what I do, In every profile I assign with lighting effects (even the now default ones by corsair) I cant get the brightness key to not just be white.

I have no idea what happened, but this didn't happen when i first bought the keyboard. I thought maybe i messed up and installed a profile that screwed with my lighting , but even after a clean install the brightness key is always white.

In the previous software version I used to get around it by clicking on the brightness key and resetting it to default and then choosing a color because I liked solid colors anyway, but now that I want to try rainbows and newer profiles the brightness key just wont be any other color than white.

How can I fix this other than having to go to best buy and using my 2 year warranty to trade it for new one?

K95 RGB Profile/Mode Switching

Okay users,

I need some help from some enthusiasts that know how to make this K95 sing!

I bought this keyboard because of the profile/mode switching feature that it offers. Little did I know that the only way to activate the profile/mode switch is by pressing a key ON the keyboard... This doesn't really work for me, I need to be able to use a mouse (not a corsair one) to switch the keyboard mode/profile. Is there anyone who can make this possible??

The mouse I want to use is a logitech G700s. I want to be able to bind any key to it as a "modifier (alt, shift, any key I set on my keyboard for profile/mode switching)" key so that when I press a button on my mouse, the keyboard is in a different mode/profile.

One thing I was very VERY excited to see as I started to learn the CUE is that when using mode switching I can have it switch BACK to the mode I was switching from upon letting go of the key-press. Again, not very useful to me if the hand that's free to switch the mode is bound to the mouse, and let me tell you, it IS bound to the mouse.

Vengance 2100 - Problem turning on?

Hi iv'e had my vengance 2100 for a year and 3 month now. it's been working great! until now?

I woke up this morning then i turned on my computer and my headset but it just wouldn't.

The blue light just appears for 3 seconds and after the charge light 3 second (if The charger is pluggen in) if not just the blue light

i tried charging it to 100% but it's still the same...

Anybody know's what to do? :)

H110 welche Sockel sind kompatibel ?

wie in der Überschrift schon geschrieben, wollte ich mal nachfragen ob ich die H110 für Sockel 1155 auch auf den "neuen" 1150er montieren kann.

Ich habe in der Produktbeschreibung bei Alternate und Caseking bemerkt, dass der Sockel 1150 gar nicht in der Spezifikation auftaucht.

Bin euch dankbar für jede hilfreiche Antwort.

AX1200 - sudden, loud, intermittent buzzing

Hello, all. I've owned an AX1200 for about 3 years now. Two days ago, I noticed it making an odd sound that I initially took for fan vibration. The next day it had turned to a much louder (audible even with headphones on) buzzing that was obviously electrical in nature. I tried replugging all the cables and the usual troubleshooting to no avail, the sound would not go away. It's become much quieter today, but I can still hear it if my ear is near the exhaust and I know for a fact it never made this sound before - both AX1200s I've used have been prone to making an occasional, somewhat loud 'chirp' sound so this isn't the first time I've had my ear down there listening for trouble. I had a few questions.

1) Is this alone grounds enough for an RMA? I know AX1200s have a reputation for being noisier than Corsair's other PSUs, but this loud buzzing was new for my unit and I'm now worried it may be failing. I'll admit I'm paranoid about this after having a bad PSU destroy a mobo and processor years ago, but I still don't like to take chances.

2) If Corsair decides the returned unit isn't defective/buzzing isn't loud enough, are they going to keep the hold funds for a cross-ship RMA?

3) Living in the southwestern US, roughly how fast could I expect the replacement to arrive? Would I have time to wait to ship my unit back until after I had received the replacement? I need my computer for work, so I'm trying to minimize my downtime as much as possible.

Does Corsair plan to make an expandable liquid cooler?

I'm already starting my Skylake build plan, even though the unlocked K processors won't be widely available for almost a year. It's going to be my first liquid cooled rig. Both ASUS and MSI offer liquid cooled Chipset Heatsinks for their high end Z97 boards, and I'm guessing they will again for their 100 series chipsets as well. It looks like all of the current Corsair Liquid Coolers are closed loop and don't offer expandability like, say, the Swiftech H-240X. I could probably use an H80i and adapt it to the chipset like they recommend for a GPU cooler, but I'd rather not dedicate the fan space to have 2 radiators (a big a small) - and just go with 1 giant radiator. I would love to stick with Corsair because I already use the link software (with very few issues) for my current build and want to maintain it when I upgrade. Any one have any idea if Corsair is going to add an expandable liquid cooler?

H100i Fan Curves?

Should I be setting the fan curves for the Radiator fans to be based on the CPU temperature or the radiator temperature? The CPU temp seems like it fluctuates too fast for my fans to keep up a relatively constant speed but my radiator temp doesn't seem to ever fluctuate so my fans just spin at a constant speed. First time using any form of water cooling so I'm not so sure on how to get it all set up. I'm setting fan curves through Corsair Link just in case it is relevant.

Corsair Software, for the K70

Obviously, everyone knows about the issues with CUE and steam, but has anyone heard about a timeline for the patch, or know any temporary fixes?

Every time I launch steam my keyboard stops the current color pattern in CUE, it gets really annoying >.>

Some questions before cooling my 290X with HG10 bracket and a H105

Hi everyone

i already own a h105 for my cpu and it's a great AIO system, now i wanted to put the hg10 bracket on my 290x and maybe cool it with it...

i was thinking about to keep the rad on top of my case (a corsair vengeance C70) but i am not sure if the tubing are long enough to reach the gpu, anyone tried this before?

what concern me are the air bubbles in the loop: i just want to keep the rad over the pump to avoid bubbles to run in the loop and also to prevent the pump to run without water...

I see lot of people placing the rad below the pump/waterblock and i really cant understand it.

My h105 is not 100% filled, when i shake it i can clearly hear a bit of empty space in the radiator.... too bad you guys at Corsair didn't put a fill port :[pouts:

PSU RMA - cables required or no?

So I'm going to be sending my AX1200 for an RMA soon (planning to call tomorrow and inquire about a cross-ship RMA, because that option is grayed out on the customer support portal for some reason). My question is will I be required to send the cables as well?

K70 RGB Multi-Sector Color Pulses. Now up to Eight Sectors!

I made a triple sector color pulse, but i stepped up the game a bit and made up to EIGHT sectors, each always flashes a different color.

K70 RGB Corsair Utility Engine -- Installation failed (for the very first time)

I have recently purchased K70 RGB (CH-9000063-UK) keyboard, but unfortunately I was not able to install CUE (1.5.80) software at all.

When starting MSI with logging enabled this is what I get:

Eventlog additionally indicates event IDs 11708 and 1033 for above logs respectively.

The error 1602 for MSI package means user has canceled the installation, but that is not the case. The installer starts with "Preparing for installation" prompt, cmd window flashes for 1 second and whole process exits.

Some additional info:

1) old keyboard drivers uninstalled (Razer Tarantula)

2) other USB devices in the system:

- Razer Lachesis mouse, unplugging doesn't help

- BlinkStick Pro (V-USB), unplugging doesn't help

- Wacom Bamboo tablet, unplugging doesn't help

Corsair K70 RGB is plugged in to 2x USB 2.0 ports, using different ports doesn't help

Tested with UAC enabled and disabled, not installing.

What else could be the reason for installation problem, I have tried to search for similar posts, but no luck.

Is there an exe installer available?

Asus Hero VII - H100i-GTX no pump rpm - RMA next

Well I thought I had found my problem, but it appears not.

After finding threads about this MB and changed the CPU-fan header setting to PWM I have a good LED and that is all.

I still can not get the Hero bios to see rpm on the pump nor does HWinfo and neither does latest corsair link. CPU-Fan error as soon as boot. Using another fan on cpu-fan header and H100i-gtx on any other fan header same result.

I do receive fan power to the included corsair fans connecting to the pump fan splitter and they are seen by HWinfo and bios but they only run at 850rpm no matter any setting in bios or link.

Attempted one RealTemp stress Prime95 test and temps immediately went from 28c to 77c and climbing just on warmup step.

At this point I am considering the pump dead and will RMA to Amazon unless anyone has any other troubleshooting tips.

Corsair Link not varrying Fan Spped on H80i GT

I'm trying to get my new H80iGT to auto adjust its fan speeds according to CPU temp, but to no avail. Everything is detected and I can adjust the fan manually by selecting Performance mode but in custom curve mode (with default curve) it wont budge from the lowest fan speed.

Here is a pic with the system under 100% load using AIDA64 (good temp even with lowest fan setting!) -

I've completely removed the app, driver, corsair roaming folder twice over with the exact same result.

Any ideas?

PSU problems after X99 upgrade

Hey everybody!

I have upgraded my system to an x99 platform from the old x58 build but have kept some components such as PSU hard drives and graphics card. There seemed to be no reason to change my old TX650 since it has enough power and it still has a year worth of warranty left but 2 weeks ago I started having weird problems. The pc refused to shut down properly (or sleep), sometimes it would freeze on shutdown and sometimes it would just restart forcing me to turn of the PSU to shut it down. After a fresh installation of windows the problems seemed to go away but last night after turning off the pc it automatically turned on after 10 minutes and then refused to turn off like before. I have seen the post about haswell compatible PSUs and my unit seems to be compatible but my problems are similar to PSUs that are not haswell certified.

Things I have tried already:

-clearing CMOS

-ram tests

-system stability GPU + CPU

Can it be that the PSU is too old for my system?

Dual all-in-one coolers

Hi,

Has anyone here put 2 all-in-one coolers in a case?

I want to build a dual Xeon box primarily for video transcode and I've used a 100i before with no real problems. I've built full water loops before but it's a lot of effort and the all-in-one coolers speed up the process. As it will be for transcode primarily I don't need giant gaming graphics cards so less heat to dump.

There seem to be a few dual socket 2011-3 boards lurking and I wondered if anyone had already done it.

I'm curious if you could get a dual in the roof and a dual in the front of something like the 650D. The 650D looks like it has good air flow although I'd be happier without the window and a big 200 inlet fan like the NZXT's have.

It's hard to see how long the pipes are and I've seen no figures as to how much heat the doubles and singles can dump.

If not 2 duals and the singles are man enough, maybe 2 singles in the roof?

Has anyone done any of the above?

Anyone put a dual all-in-one in the front of a 650D?

Anyone here running a single 120 like the 80i on Xeons?

PSU is loudest fan in case - talk me out of replacing it

Hi.

I have the Corsair CX 430M. It was sold to me as quiet/silent but it is the loudest thing in the case.

I know the fan in there is just a basic 120mm case fan. It just so happens I've replaced a 120mm fan and have a very quiet 120 Cool Master fan going spare and am in two minds to put into the PSU.

Only problem is, obviously, the warranty.

The PSU is budget, and for what it is, it's great so I don't feel short changed by Corsair... really!

BUT... they ~~cheeped out~~ cut costs on the fan...

While it isn't the loudest ever, it's frustrating when I know I have a quieter one doing nothing that I could put in it, without touching anything else or damaging anything, but, by the letter of the warranty... I'm voiding it.

Thoughts? :confused:

K70 Keyboard

What is the difference between the K70 RGB and the non RGB version?

PSA for ASUS Maximus VII Hero owners and H100i-GTX - CPU_FAN must be set to PWM mode.

After troubleshooting all day yesterday on a new install of my H100i-GTX I could not get the pump to be powered on any of the MB fan headers.

I had already submitted an Amazon replacement order and was still searching every forum for an answer when I came across a single note buried in a thread.

On the ASUS Maximus VII Hero, the CPU_FAN header has to be set to PWM mode before the pump will receive a signal and power.

Hope this helps any other owners.

Now to put it all back together and check temps.

New Air 540 Configuration

Hi everyone,

I know a lot of forums have had pages dedicated to the 540 and the best way to optimise its cooling potential. I'm just about to begin my first ever full build, using the 540, and I've been trying to work out for myself an optimal solution to this question. Just to be clear about my needs: I'm not overclocking my 4790k yet, and I'm also installing just a single GTX 970, so I'm aware that the 540's base configuration should more than suit my cooling needs. Also, I've ordered a set of 540 magnetic dust filters from DEMCiflex, so I'm not as worried about creating positive air pressure inside as I would have been without them. So basically I'm creating this post because of two things. First, the perfectionist (or maybe that's OCD...) in me is simply curious about what is the best possible cooling configuration that I could create. Second, I want to HAVE that best possible configuration set up so that it is ready for any future upgrades/overclocking.

There is one possible configuration that I thought up today, which I haven't seen suggested or displayed in any forums yet. I've got a H100i cooler ready to go (again, thinking forward towards future overclocking), and I'm considering installing it in the top two FRONT 120mm slots, acting as intakes. I was then also thinking of purchasing an additional 120mm fan to sit in the lowest front slot (assuming this is possible in conjunction with the H100i?), unobstructed by the H100i radiator and blowing cool air directly underneath my GPU.

I would have moved the two 140mm fans that came installed in the front to the TOP of the case, as exhausts, and leave the rear 140mm as an exhaust as well. The only downside I can see is the potential for negative air pressure, but if the custom made filters over every vent work as advertised, then surely I wouldn't need to worry too much about this? Or would I be better off leaving out one or both of the top fans entirely?

If there are any drawbacks, false assumptions, better suggestions, or aspects of my plan that I'm over thinking, then I'd greatly appreciate any feedback. Like I said, this is my first full build, so I'll be grateful for any advice from those who have been at it a lot longer than me. Thanks to anyone kind enough to humour my curiosity by reading and/or replying to my post!

k50 not working at all

Hi,

so I've had my k50 since late 2013 now with no problems so far.

However, this morning when I turned my computer on I got no backlights appearing. I then opened up the k50 software to save the lights to the keyboard but the button was greyed it.

So I thought I'd see if anybody else has had this issue on the forum however I then soon found out that the keyboard itself is not working . No keys at all work and doesn't show up in device manager.

What's strange though is that the usb pass through port on the keyboard is still working

I've tried different USB ports, different computer and restarting but still no good. So basically my keyboard seems to have died over night. Does anybody have any ideas?

760T fan selector

Hi guys,

Pretty new into building PC's. I grew up gaming though. Just been awhile.

Just a simple question.

Finally figured out the fan selector install. I had all the fans hooked into the motherboard but figured out they were meant to be plugged into the harness for the selector.

Once I did that, the 2 speed selector worked. The only one I left in the motherboard was the Chipset fan.

Just wondering if I left the case fans plugged into the motherboard, would they be speed controlled by the temp. of the chip or would they run one speed?

H100i Stock fans help

I wanted to know if anyone has the specifications for the two stock fans on the H100i. Also I had a few questions I was hoping someone could answer for me. I was thinking about replacing the stock fans with the SP-120 High Performance edition fans (hence wanting to know the stock specifications) but also wanted to get an opinion on the how the sp-120 High Performance fans compare to the LED SP-120's. And if the interchangable color ring on the normal 120's is available for the LED versions.

Heck, this is getting confusing to put into words.

Essentially I want to compare the stock fans on the H100i to the ones listed Here PWM and here LED .

Ideally if the performance and sound are similar enough to be negligible I'd want the LEDs with the interchangeable color ring.

pc specs:

i7 4790, asus maximus ranger vii, 980 pny, g.skill 2x4 2133mhz(I use default 1600mhz), corsair ax760i, corsair ssd force series lx 128gb, wc corsair h105, hd barracuda 1tb/500gb, case corsair obsidian 750d.

temperature and informations:

I update bios for 2304, but asus remove the bios from download in the offical site.

I tried a lot things:

update bios, clear CMOS, disconnect the video card, 1 stick of ram, another stick ram, I checking the mounting and everything is correctly, I put pc outside of the case( only connected the essential), change to xmp function, manual, change the max/min cpu ratio for 35 and 36 (on instructions of a User forum).

All the components are new

Do you have any solution for this or I will have to activate the warranty?

From what I've been reading is a manufacturing problem that occurs in this source model.

(awesome job krazykid) I feel like I won't be competing or stepping on his turf by posting this. I've really been enjoying making profiles for the k70 rgb, but frankly my creativity has run a little dry! That, in combination with the fact that it's always more satisfying to make something that someone else enjoys more than something solely for myself, I'd like to work on any requests people may have.

I know krazykid isn't always interested in fulfilling the pixel art type profile requests, and I've had some fun doing animations and such, so I'd be willing to work on any profiles based around pixel art/animations (anything else is fine as well). One thing to note, is that most things with any level of graphic detail must be made much larger than the keyboard itself, but can be displayed by animating a scrolling effect for that logo, animation, etc.

H60 4790K temps concerns

I have a new built 4790K with H60.

The pump is connected to a SYS_FAN on my MSI Z97M Gaming motherboard with a rpm of constant 2700.

idle temp is 35

prime95 test for 10 minutes is about 85.

I've read somewhere that the pump speed should be about 4000 rpm.

should i be worried ?

K70 RGB Can't Get Macros to Work

Most recent software and firmware, Win8.1 Pro, made a macro, bound it to F1, it does nothing in any program, am getting MacroCommand/Win: Writing failed: overlapped_result=0 in the logs. Already having to deal with media keys only kind of working, random freezing, and issues with Steam and other games, I'd rather not have to deal with this as well.

H80i clicks, if positioned normally.

I've had my H80i for about a year now (from an RMA'd unit), but once more it seems to be getting the ever lovely clicking sounds. However, I found out if I tilt my case up about 30-45 degrees back, it stops making noise completely.

I'm wondering if I should RMA this unit or if I can let the air bleed out of the pump to somewhere else, as I heard it's air in the pump that makes the clicking sounds.

The case is a 250D.

M65 rgb sniper button broken

Hi guys,

have anyone else had this problem that your sniper button brakes up and goes inside the mouse? I personally love this mouse but now I have to deal with annoying warrantystuff because of that. I was playing and noticed that the button didnt click anymore and it was inside the mouse. Okey I get my asian wnb razer mouse from the shelf and start warranty-walkthrough. I start making a rma at corsairs site where after I have a done a huge load of work they say that I must offer it to the shop I purchaced it?! Okey I do that and it takes forever and they need every single small printed serial number and ****. After that they have to check the details from Corsair. Okey after like 3 days I send it to the Sweden through finnish Posti. Then they told me that they've ordered a new mice and they send it as fast as they can. Then they send me a automatic email where they tell me how Im going to receive my money back and nothing handwritten? The orderstatus for that mice is "cancelled".

Corsair PLEASE MAKE YOUR RMA EASIER BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO HAS TO SEND THE ITEMS TO THE WARRANTY ARE PRETTY ANNOYED ALREADY. :mad:

H75 RPMs

Hey Gang,

Can you please verify that your H75s run in the 17XX rpm range.

I had a H50 that I modded to a Push/Pull (not much of a mod, just upgrade lol)

it lasted me 4yrs loved it.. was sad to see it day in Dec last yr.

I get a H75 already a Push Pull and drop it in..

She runs 1725 I am pretty sure, I put my OC in and was able to get a hair more..

Last week I notice I am running warm after gaming.. all looks good..

took the rig out to the compressor got the dust out, same thing idle is 45ish on all cores but after gaming hitting 80s..

took my OC down to a much lower one, now same idle but gaming is 70.

ODD.. but ok.

THEN I noitced it last night my history on my CPU fan (pump motor) was dropping to 1500 and saw a 1255 once after that..

I turn it off. I fire it up this AM... and NOW 1280 is the norm with one boost up to 1513 once.

So, this pump is dying on my in less than 120 days but past my New Egg returns limit...

I am sadly disappointed this round.....

K 70 Issue with keys endlessly repeating

Hi,

I have an issue with my corsair k70 (non RGB) where a series of keys appear to be repeating endlessly.

There is nothing physically wrong with the keyboard but it is almost as if the = 7 9 and other keys are being held down, meaning I am completely unable to use the keyboard.

I have had no issues with the board before until this suddenly started happening. I cannot think of what could have caused it, the board was fine, I left to grab some dinner and came back and this issue had started.

I've tried updating the firmware but that hasn't seemed to have done anything.

Any suggestions?

Faulty HX750

As the title says my power supply has developed a fault. The main 24 pin cable when moved turns on and off. This tesults in my pc turning on an off constantly. Its from 2011 so still under its 7 year warranty. What would be my next option?

K70 NON-RGB Macro support.

Hello,I recently purchased a K70 non rgb.It's the black with red leds version and Cherry MX blue switches.

All in all I'm very satisfied by the performance of the keyboard.Typing and gaming on it just feels amazing.

The only thing bothering me is that the shop I got it from also said it supports custom macros,which as I have found out,is not the case.

After an initial firmware update,I downloaded the Corsair Software suite ,to find out that my version is not supported,or even recognized by the software.

Is there going to be an update at some point to support the non RGB K70s in the Corsair software,so that we can at least assign macros to individual keys?

If not ,does anybody have any 3rd party macro software in mind to suggest?

Corsair Mini Commander

Hi there

I would firstly like to commend Corsair on a great attempt at this Corsair Link idea. While it does still have issues, it works well.

I've currently got the following connected onto it, per channel:

* 2x CM Jetflo 120mm (used via 3-pin Y Split)

* 2x CM Jetflo 120mm (used via 3-pin Y Split)

* 2x CM Jetflo 120mm (used via 3-pin Y Split)

* 1x Bit Fenix 140mm

* 1x 70mm AMD OEM Heatsink Fan

* 1x CM Jetflo 120mm

Despite using 9 fans, the fan control still seems to operate fine, 90% of the time. I am still within the recommend amp limit of 4A.

Within the Corsair Link software, the fans appear to show a combined RPM. The problem comes in where 2x of the Jetflo fans just refuses to operate as specified in Link. Sometimes I can get it right by fiddling with the Y Spilts and different fan channels, but as soon as I restart/shut down the system, I get the same issue as before.

I've unplugged one of the two affected Jetflo fans, and everything is working 100%.

I am using a H100i GTX for CPU cooling. I've had to plug it directly into the USB header of the motherboard. Corsair Link allows me to change the LED colour, but I can't get a read out of the pump's RPM and water temp. Both values show zero.

I have three questions:

Q1: Can I purchase another Corsair Commander Mini and successfully add it to my system, without any issues? I assume I would just be able to add more devices in the system tab?

Q2: Is there any fix for the AIO's pump RPM and water Temp for not being picked up correctly?

Q3: After removing a device from the System tab, within the Link software, how to I re-add it?

I do have one suggestion, regarding the custom curve fan profile. Could this maybe not be increased to at least 10 points? 5 points seems a very little for wider temperature differences with precise RPM control.

TIA for any insight into my issues! I'd really like to get this Link system working 100%
