My Corsair CMPSU-650TX PSU blew up last night!

Hello.

I came home last night into my hot room (~80F degrees), turned the old Windows XP Pro SP3 desktop computer on, paid one of my monthly paper bills while waiting to let it boot up, heard loud crack/popp)ing noises (thought it was from outside/downstair making firecracker type noises), saw and heard PC shut down (was idling at the login screen), looked at it, heard more noises, smelled and saw smokes from my rear Corsair TX650 power supply unit (PSU) area at the bottom of my mid-tower Antec P180 ATX case, heard more loud noises, and then quickly turned off PSU's switch and unplugged power cable (avoiding a possible fire, more damages (hope it didn't damage my PC -- will check after getting a new PSU), etc.). I quickly looked inside my case, but didn't see any strange colors, popped caps, etc. I need to dig deeper later. I did touch the PSU and it was hot even after a few minutes of uptime. Oh and it smells! Ugh (still is now).

This is not normal, right? Or am I just having a bad luck? Once a few months ago, my desktop PC turned on by itself while I was out all day. No one used it too. I am not sure if that was related. I was reading comments on Amazon and NewEgg that a few people had this PSU blow up problem too. :( I will definitely RMA it since I got it in the end 2010. Will I be getting the same PSU model or a newer one? IIRC, the one I have was based on SeaSonic which I love because I have a 600 watts PSU, from 2006 or so, that still works as I post this!

Thank you in advance. :)
