Hello all,
I'm having a problem getting the ASUS KeyBot application to be able to rebind my F-keys in Windows 8.1. Not only this, but my media keys also no longer function in Windows 8 (they did fine in Windows 7).
Background:
I used to run this keyboard with Windows 7, before I got KeyBot, and all the media keys worked just fine. When I installed Windows 8, they all stopped working (playback controls AND volume controls). ASUS KeyBot, however, worked.
After I downloaded and installed the 1.09 firmware update, the media keys worked again (in desktop applications anyway, the browsers still won't recognize them), but ASUS KeyBot STOPPED working. I'm unsure why this would be.
I noticed that under device manager before the firmware update, there was no mention at all of Corsair Gaming Keyboard (just generic entries of HID Keyboard Device under Keyboards). After the installation, there is a new category of Human Interface Devices with the Corsair K70 Gaming Keyboard being under that.
I have already tried restarting the HID service and reinstalling the update to no avail. Not sure what else to try.
Thanks for any help, my system details are in my profile!
