Carbide Air 240 - Gigabyte G1 GTX980??

Hey there,

Looking for some reliable info on which GTX970 / GTX980 non reference cards will fit in the Corsair Carbide Air 240. My goal is to provide suitable gpu grunt to run games at decent frame rates in 4k. If I took the GTX970 route I would SLI.

I'd like to get one with a Gigabyte Gaming G1 GTX980 card but if I go along with Corsairs claims of 290mm max length gpu, it will not fit as the GTX980 G1 is meant to be 300mm long (from back of its io plate to the end of the windforce cooler).

However this said, I saw a review on Vortez.net with an image that showed a ruler giving up to 300-320mm available space for a gpu. I suspect this would not allow for a 240mm rad but would be willing to opt for an H90 or similar instead if I could fit the GTX980 or even top mount an H100i rad and place the case in its other orientation with window uppermost to improve air flow.

I've seen claims in another thread here that the Gigabyte G1 GTX970 does fit and believe that as this sports the same windforce 3 cooler as the GTX980 card it should fit as well.

I've not been able to see a Carbide 240 in the flesh so am unsure whether any of the above is possible. Can anyone provide me with a definitive answer on this?
