Got a brand new 1500 vengeance, which games optimize 7.1 the best?

Hey there, I was previously using the corsair 700 or 800, can't remember, but I got it 3 years ago and im sure it was 2.0 sound, so I decided to upgrade to these since the previous pair lasted me 3 years.



So a few things, I know that my sound card is useless and I took that outta my case, cuz the new set of headphones using their own 'usb sound card' I also did some research and realized that using realtek drivers for the onboard sound is useless because the headset doesn't use it.. so I turned off my sound on my mobo.



I downloaded the corsair drivers, and set the sound to 7.1. I tried playing games like call of duty advanced warefare and at first I left the option in the sound setting of the game to 'auto detect' but it doesn't seem to be 7.1 at all...

When I change it to 5.1 in CoD, it seems better... I guess I need to tinker more with the settings in each game to find the optimal setting?



I realize that is virtual surround sound and it won't be as good as real speakers, but I'm really struggling to hear any different at all.. All I can mostly hear is left and right sounds, nothing really 'in front' or 'behind'. Are there any games out there that really demonstrate the power of the vengeance 1500so I have something to compare to? Maybe my ears just suck lol
