H100i Liquid cooler Noise

Hi,

I want to buy the H100i for the intel 5930k 6 core corei7 extreme processor to fit in my Apevia x-Dreamer 4 case at the top (hoping it will fit in my case where the dual 12 cm fan mounts are at the top). I am concerned about the fan noise i have read some reviews of people complaining about the fan noise. From The spec the fan speed is 2700rpm which is quite fast. I don't know if they are PWM fans which you can plug into your motherboard PWM fan header, Or is the speed controlled by the radiator it self.

Now some people have replaced these noisy fans with the Akasa -FN058 Apache Black Super Silent 120mm PWM Fan with the following spec.

- Bearing HDB (Hydro Dynamic Bearing)

- Speed 600 -1300 RPM

- Max airflow 57.53 CFM (97.74 m3/h)

- Sound level 6.9 -16.05 dB(A)

- Max static air pressure 2.64 mm-H2O

It seems to run much slower but the CFM seems good. What do you think?

Has anyone tried a much quieter fan and seen difference in performance?
