Assign macros to left mouse button?

I know macros cannot record mouse clicks.



But are you able to assign / program macros to the left mouse button at all?



Usually with other mice you need to re-assign the left click to another button on the mouse before it lets you do this. Is it possible? Im planning on getting an m45, but I'm assuming the rule would apply to all the corsair mice.
