k65 rgb lighting

Hello, I seem to have a rgb problem. I hit the black key to make them all black and then the color I want but it just makes it some weird color. For instance, when I have it lit orange, then change to bright green, it comes out like a dark ugly olive like color. I try to change them back to black but then it does the same. Any suggestions? Hope this makes sense.
