What size washer or o-ring to mount H100i to Mini ITX

Hello everyone,

I need help with my third Mini ITX build. Ironically, this is the largest so far but am having issues with cooling. Details below.

The problem I have relates to the backplate used for mounting the Corsair H100i to the processor. There is quite a bit of movement. Not the kind that is side-to-side and therefore acceptable but up and down. The cooler is not making good contact with the CPU. It sticks a little but that is because of the thermal grease mostly.

I already double checked to make sure I have the plate orientation is correctly to account for the notches. I have mounted the cooler about four times now with the same results.

So the question is as follows. Does anyone know the specific washer or o-ring size that I would need to mount the H100i and minimize the movement?

On a side not, I find it frustrating that neither Corsair nor MSI are addressing this issue. In my research, I found that Asus includes washers with their Mini ITX board for this precise reason.

Mobo: MSI Z97 AC

Cooler: H100i

Case: Obsidian 250D

Link to Asus which includes information on how washers are needed for mounting some backplates.

Installation washers included*

For convenience and the widest backplate compatibility, Maximus VI Impact includes four installation washers.

* Washers required only if you encounter installation difficulties.
