Raptor HS40 Headphones compatibility

Hi... My son has just bought the raptor hs40 from a high street supplier on the understanding he could use this for both PC and Xbox 360. It works fine with the PC but not with the 360... On looking at various websites/forums I am finding mixed response on compatibility... Can someone confirm for me if this does work for the 360 and if so how do I get it to function. Thanks in advance.
