If your bottom psu is facing down then you're likely to kill it by placing the case on the carpet and obstructing airflow. Why doesn't Corsair provide a safety net by raising the psu by a few mm or a cm so it can still take in air from the case if the external vent is obstructed, similar to what another popular brand do with their cases?
