How to properly install H100i?

is there an official tutorial video or guide?

the included instructions are really terrible. the only thing is says is "install the cooler" essentially... ya i had no idea i was supposed to install the cooler! zer mer gurd!

it came with included washers, but no where in instructions does it even say to use them.

Also the backplate bracket seems kind of lose on socket 1150 after moving it into the holes, and securing it with the screws. After installing the cpu block it really doesnt move much though.

Is there anything special that needs to be done while installing it?

are the double sided standoff screws for connecting water block to back plate supposed to go one way or the other? (both sides seems to be of similar length).

The first time i tried it, it wouldnt even boot, as i was getting cpu temperature error.

So i reseated block/backplate, and it worked much better, but was still running idle at 70-80C.

So i decided to remove the washers (since a video i watched they didnt use them), and it dropped it to like 45-50C idle.

But my old cpu cooler (dark knight II running 2x SP120s push pull), would idle at 27-30C.

So this is running 15-20C hotter.

im running push pull on the H100i with the SP120 and the included fans.

i have corsair link installed and updated to latest firmware.

im forcing fans to run at 100% speed, which dropped temps to like 37-40C idle. still 10C hotter then air cooling with fans running at like 40%...

under 100% load im hitting 100C+ temps on this cooler, and my old one was only hitting like 95C.

i7-4770K @ 4.5ghz @ 1.250V (may drop it down to 4.4ghz and see if i can get it stable at 1.2V)

But i was hoping the 100i would get 4.4-4.6ghz easily at below 90C at 100% full load.

i ordered some more thermal compound, as re-seating it 3 times may have caused problems with stock compound).

ill see if that helps, but want to know if im installing it incorrectly or something... as this cooler shouldnt run hotter when maxing 100% fans vs a 40% fan air cooler...
