CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 - P67A-C45(B3) not seting default speed

CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 detects as 1066MHz by default in P67A-C45(B3) while

CMP4GX3M2A1600C9 detects as 1333MHz.

Description of CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 states that : SPD Speed 1333MHz

my motherboard supports :

• Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333/1600*/2133*(OC) DRAM, 32GB Max

- Supports 1GB/ 2GB/ 4GB/ 8GB DRAM size

- Supports Dual channel mode

So 1066/1333 are default frequency for it, and always chooses highest first.

other 1600*/2133* are up to user to chose by manual settings in BIOS.

It should detect max frequency by its own, isn't it?

If it doesn't detect correct frequency this means it is faulty ?

I do not change anything in bios! Bios set as "Optimized defaults" there is no other option for default.

BIOS was up to date when testing, tested in i3 2100 computer, and other manufacture motherboard, and also got 1066 by default when other corsair ram showed 1333 in that system by default.

Noticed some mismatch of XMP CMP4GX3M2A1600C9 and CMP8GX3M2A1600C9. Shouldn't they be the same as it is the same type modules except the size? (xmp inaccessible in BIOS when all modules in place 4GB and 8GB )

One more question:

Does Corsair test there modules? Should or should not be any marks of usage on the contacts ?

Thanks ;)
