Hello all,
I have built about 20 systems for friends and family over the last few years. All for free as I enjoy challenge and get a kick out of creating something from nothing.
My current rig was my first water cooled build. I built my rig mostly for multi monitor gaming and at the time I wanted to squeeze every dollar I could just in case I blew everything up. While the rig has been running great over the last year I made a few mistakes that have been a thorn in my side. These mistakes include:
:Not using a name brand Platinum certified PSU
:Using a 400mm Phobya rad on top that would not fit inside the case
:Buying High Pressure fans that are insanely noisy even with PWM control
:Using a single loop for cpu and dual gpus causing a high temp spike while heavy gaming
:Using flex tubing for the loop rather than rigid tubing (Although rigid wasn't as common at the time)
:A full size thermltake mk-1 chaser case that looks like a transformer and scares young children with mixed lighting schemes
I put aside $2000 for play money and had the option of either upgrading my chip and motherboard, buying 2 new gpu's or rebuilding my loop from the ground up.
After some thought I decided to redo my loop as I love my system as it is performance wise but I can't stand to look at it. I want something with a smaller form factor, that hides all the wires, is quite with manually fan control, modern and adult looking, dual loops, bright white LEDs for long nights at my desk and more Corsair prodcuts.
Below is my parts list as of today with items arriving every day. Shot out to Frozencpu, Performance PCS and Amazon for having all the items I was searching for and Corsair for having such great products.

(Still searching for a grey K70 keyboard/ Might have to settle for K95)
I'm not much of a "case modder" as I am a horrible painter so the case itself will remain intact. Plus I really love the grey on black color scheme.
The tubing will be clear and the dye will either be White pastel or Blood red (or both). There will be an overwhelming amount of White LEDs because I find it useful while working in the dark and also because I like it. :sunglasse
I still consider myself a beginner at this, especially when it comes to water cooling builds, but i figured I would throw in my hat for the contest and also share my personal builds journey. I have seen in the past some incredible builds and I don't think I can match that quality but it's fun either way.
