I am trying to upgrade memory amount in a SHUTTLE SH55JSCG.
Shuttle specs say this is a 16GB motherboard.
It has been running Corsair XMS3 4GB DRAM successfully.
The BIOS is the most current available.
I tried installing Corsair XMS3 16GB CMX16GX3M2A1600C11.
The system stalls during POST. Where the POST status screen normally writes what it finds as dram slot by slot, it now just paints all of those lines solid white and the process halts. There is no error message of any kind.
The memory is being installed in the correct slots and is seating properly.
I have tried setting DRAM frequency manual to 1333, no joy.
What configuration do I need to achieve 16GB?
